ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ, ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕਈ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ 3542 ਸਫਾਈ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ/ਸੀਵਰਮੈਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੈਗੂਲਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਨਾਂ ਕਰਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦਾ ਤੋਹਫਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਥਾਨਕ ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਡਾ: ਇੰਦਰਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਿੱਜਰ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਭਵਨ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕਰੀਬ 150 ਸਫਾਈ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ/ਸੀਵਰਮੈਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਯੁਕਤੀ ਪੱਤਰ ਸੌਂਪੇ। ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੀਸੀ ਰੇਟ ’ਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ 456 ਬੇਲਦਾਰਾਂ/ਡਰਾਈਵਰਾਂ/ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੈਗੂਲਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।

Punjab Government provided Diwali bonanza by regularising the services of 3542 Safai Sewaks/Sewermen working for last several years in Municipal Corporation Ludhiana. Local Bodies Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar handed over appointment letters to around 150 of these Safai Sewaks/Sewermen at a function. Cabinet Minister announced that the process of regularising services of 456 beldaars/drivers/employees working on DC rate in MC Ludhiana, has also been initiated.
