ਬਿਊਰੋ ਆਫ਼ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਸਟੈਂਡਰਡਜ਼ (ਬੀ.ਆਈ.ਐਸ) ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ
BIS standard Club ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ formulation of Indian Standards, Conformity Assessment, Laboratory Testing, hallmarking Scheme, Consumer Affairs Activities, Promotional Activities, Training Services, National & International level, Information Services along with other activities ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।
BIS ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ 500 ਹਾਈ/ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ BIS standard Club ਬਣਾਏ ਜਾਏ ਹਨ। ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੇਠ ਲਿਖੀ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਕਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ:
1. Writing competition 2. Competitions on Standards & Quality issues

3. Exposure visits
4. Awareness programme, Seminars and workshops on Indian Standards and
their role in the upliftment of the quality of life and economic ਉਕਤ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਆਫ਼ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਸਟੈਂਡਰਡਜ਼ (ਬੀ.ਆਈ.ਐਸ) ਵੱਲੋਂ 30,000/- ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
