Punjab Mid-Day Meal Scheme Cook Appointments and Terminations
The Mid-Day Meal Scheme Society of Punjab's notification regarding the appointment and termination of cooks under the Mid-Day Meal Scheme.
The notification states that cook-cum-helpers are to be appointed based on the norms set by the MHRD. These norms are as follows:
- * 1 cook-cum-helper for 1-25 students
- * 2 cook-cum-helpers for 26-100 students
- * 3 cook-cum-helpers for 101-200 students
- * 4 cook-cum-helpers for 201-300 students
An additional cook-cum-helper for every additional 100 students
The notification also states that:
Some schools are not following the aforementioned norms while appointing cook-cum-helpers.
The cook-cum-helper who was appointed most recently should be terminated first if the number of students in a school reduces.
If two or more cook-cum-helpers were appointed on the same date, the one with the most seniority (i.e., the elder one) should be terminated first.
