All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE)-2025: Application Open

Date: December 24, 2024

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the schedule for the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE)-2025. The exam will be conducted for admission to Class VI and Class IX in Sainik Schools/New Sainik Schools across the country for the academic year 2025-26.

Key Dates

• Online Application Submission: December 24, 2024, to January 13, 2025 (Upto 5.00 PM)
• Last Date for Payment of Fee Online: January 14, 2025 (11.50 PM)
• Exam Date: Will be announced on the NTA website later

Eligibility Criteria

• Class VI: Candidates should be between 10 and 12 years of age as on March 31, 2025. Admission for Girls is open in Class VI only in all Sainik Schools.
• Class IX: Candidates should be between 13 and 15 years of age as on March 31, 2025, and should have passed Class VIII from a recognized school at the time of admission. Admission for Girls is open for Class IX, subject to the availability of vacancies. Age criteria is the same as for boys.

Exam Fee

• General/OBC(NCL)/Defence/Ex-servicemen: Rs 800/-
• SC/ST: Rs 650/-

Exam Pattern and Mode

• Mode: Pen-paper (OMR Sheets based)
• Paper Pattern: Multiple Choice Questions

Exam Cities

The exam will be conducted in 190 cities across India, as mentioned in the Information Bulletin.

Candidates can apply online at https://exams.nta.ac.in/AISSEE/ between December 24, 2024, and January 13, 2025. The exam fee can also be paid online through the payment gateway using debit/credit cards or internet banking.

About the Sainik Schools

Sainik Schools are residential schools run by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. These schools aim to prepare students for a career in the Armed Forces. Admission to Sainik Schools is based on merit, and the AISSEE is the entrance examination for admission to these schools.

New Sainik Schools

The government has also approved the establishment of new Sainik Schools. Eligibility for admission to these schools is detailed in the Information Bulletin.

Gruesome Murder Rocks Punjab Village

Amritsar, Punjab: In a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves through the community, a young man, Gurmeet Singh, was fatally shot last night in the village of Boparae Kalan. The accused, Satbir Singh Boparae, the district president of the Elementary Teachers Union Amritsar, is alleged to have fired the fatal shot.

According to the victim's younger brother, Amandeep Singh, the incident took place around 9:30 PM. When he heard a commotion outside, he went to investigate and found Satbir Singh, along with Kulwant Singh, Tanmanpreet Singh, and Simranjit Singh, engaged in a heated argument with his brother. Satbir Singh, armed with a 12-bore rifle, allegedly shot Gurmeet Singh dead on the spot while the others assaulted him with sticks.

Amandeep Singh claimed that the dispute stemmed from a past village election where the accused and the victim supported opposing candidates. The police have registered a case against the four accused under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including murder and rioting.

Investigations are underway to ascertain the exact motive behind the killing and to apprehend the remaining accused who are currently absconding. The incident has sparked outrage among the villagers, who are demanding swift justice.

School Grading : ਸਕੂਲ ਗ੍ਰੇਡਿੰਗ ਲਈ ਡਾਟਾ ਅਪਡੇਟ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਆਖਰੀ ਮਿਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ

School Grading : ਸਕੂਲ ਗ੍ਰੇਡਿੰਗ ਲਈ ਡਾਟਾ ਅਪਡੇਟ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਆਖਰੀ ਮਿਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ 

ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਰੇਡਿੰਗ ਦਾ ਡਾਟਾ ਭਰਨ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਪੱਤਰ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਮਿਤੀ 24-12-2024 ਤੱਕ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਡਾਟਾ ਈ-ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੋਰਟਲ ਤੇ ਅਪਲੋਡ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਸੀ, ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਵੇਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੁਝ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਕੂਲ ਗਰੇਡਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਡਾਟੇ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ  ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਡਾਟਾ ਅਪਲੋਡ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਮੌਕਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਿਤੀ 30-12-2024 ਸ਼ਾਮ 5 ਵਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਦਾ ਵਾਧਾ ਕੀਤਾ  ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਗਰੇਡਿੰਗ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਡਾਟਾ ਈ- ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੋਰਟਲ ਤੇ ਅਪਲੋਡ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਦਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ  ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਮਿਤੀ ਤੱਕ ਸਕੂਲ ਗਰੇਡਿੰਗ ਦਾ ਡਾਟਾ ਅਪਲੋਡ ਕਰਨਾ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣਗੇ, ਸਮੇਂ ਸਿਰ ਡਾਟਾ ਅਪਲੋਡ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇਰੀ ਲਈ ਸਕੂਲ ਮੁੱਖੀ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਹੋਣਗੇ। 

School Grading Data Submission Deadline Extended to December 24th

Chandigarh: The Director General of School Education, Punjab, has issued a memo extending the deadline for submitting school grading data to December 24th, 2024. Earlier, the deadline was set for December 20th.

This extension is being granted due to the observation that many schools have not completed the data entry process. All schools, including primary, middle, high, and senior secondary schools, are now required to upload their grading data to the e-Punjab School Portal by 5:00 PM on December 24th.

Any delay in submitting the data will be the sole responsibility of the respective schools.
