ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪਰਿਸ਼ਦ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਕਮੇਟੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਅੱਜ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ
ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ , 28 ਨਵੰਬਰ 2025 ( ਜਾਬਸ ਆਫ ਟੁਡੇ) ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪਰਿਸ਼ਦ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਕਮੇਟੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਸਤਿਹਾਰ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਸਟੇਟ ਇਲੈਕਸ਼ਨ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੈੱਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਬੁਲਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਾਰੀਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਐਲਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਸੂਬੇ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਚਾਰ ਸੰਹਿਤਾ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਹੈ। ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਚੋਣਾਂ 14 ਦਸੰਬਰ 2025 ਤੱਕ ਕਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਸਾਰੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਰਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਜ਼ਰਵেশন ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਪੰਚਾਇਤੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ।

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਲ 23 ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪਰਿਸ਼ਦਾਂ ਅਤੇ 154 ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਕਮੇਟੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਹੋਣੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਵੋਟਰ ਸੂਚੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਧ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਹੋਰ ਸੰਬੰਧਤ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੰਮ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਬਲਾਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਨਰਗੱਠਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਈ ਬਾਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਦੇਰੀ ਹੋਈ।
2025 ਦੀ ਵੋਟਰ ਸੂਚੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ
ਇਹ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਜਨਵਰੀ 2025 ਦੀ ਵੋਟਰ ਲਿਸਟ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਕਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ। ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਅਤੇ ਗ੍ਰਾਮੀਣ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਲਫਨਾਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਚੋਣਾਂ 5 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਤੱਕ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਕਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।
ਬਲਾਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਨਰਗੱਠਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਬਾੜ੍ਹ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਹ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਟਲਦੀਆਂ ਰਹੀਆਂ, ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਪੜਾਅ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਐਲਾਨੀਆਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Punjab to Announce District Council and Panchayat Committee Elections Today
The State Election Commission is set to announce the dates for the District Council and Panchayat Committee elections in Punjab. A press conference has been scheduled for this afternoon, during which the official election schedule will be declared. With this announcement, the Model Code of Conduct is expected to come into effect across the state starting tomorrow.
Sources indicate that the elections may be held by 14 December 2025. The process of reserving wards in all districts has already been completed.
Elections for 23 District Councils and 154 Panchayat Committees
Punjab will be conducting elections for a total of 23 District Councils and 154 Panchayat Committees. The Department of Rural Development and Panchayats has completed all legal formalities required for the elections. From updating voter lists to finalizing administrative processes, all necessary work is now finished.
These elections have been delayed significantly this time due to the reorganization of blocks and the subsequent floods in Punjab.
2025 Voter List to Be Considered Valid
The elections will be conducted on the basis of the January 2025 voter lists. The Department of Rural Development and Panchayats informed the High Court through an affidavit that the elections will be completed by 5 December.
Earlier, the elections were postponed multiple times due to the restructuring of blocks and widespread flooding in the state. Now, with all procedures nearing completion, the official announcement is expected at any time.
