CHANDIGARH 28 November 2025 ( Jobsoftoday) : The Punjab State Election Commission (SEC) has announced the complete schedule for the upcoming Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections following an important press conference held today.
Key Announcements:
Voting Date: Polling for the Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections will take place on December 14th.
Result Date: The counting of votes and declaration of results will be held on December 17th.
Polling Method: The State Election Commissioner confirmed that the elections will be conducted using ballot papers.

14 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੋਟਾਂ, 17 ਨੂੰ ਨਤੀਜੇ
ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ: ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਸ਼ਦ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਸਮਿਤੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, 14 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੋਟਿੰਗ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ 17 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਐਲਾਨੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਈ.ਵੀ.ਐੱਮ. (EVM) ਰਾਹੀਂ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਬੈਲਟ ਪੇਪਰ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ। ਨਿਰਵਾਚਨ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਈ.ਵੀ.ਐੱਮ. ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਸੰਭਵ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਸ ਲਈ 40 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਈ.ਵੀ.ਐੱਮ. ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਕੋਲ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਰਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ।
ਹਰੇਕ ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਬੂਥ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਸ਼ਦ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਸਮਿਤੀ ਲਈ ਵੱਖਰੇ-ਵੱਖਰੇ ਦੋ ਬੈਲਟ ਬਾਕਸ ਰੱਖੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
🚺 ਮਹਿਲਾਵਾਂ ਲਈ 50% ਸੀਟਾਂ ਰਾਖਵੀਆਂ
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਲ ਸੀਟਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 50% ਸੀਟਾਂ ਮਹਿਲਾਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਰਾਖਵੀਆਂ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ।
🗺️ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਮੁੱਖ ਅੰਕੜੇ
- ਕੁੱਲ ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਬੂਥ: ਪੂਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ 19,181 ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਬੂਥ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
- ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਸ਼ਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਜ਼ੋਨ: ਕੁੱਲ 357 ਜ਼ੋਨ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਹਰ ਜ਼ੋਨ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ( ਜਾਬਸ ਆਫ ਟੁਡੇ)
- ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਸਮਿਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਜ਼ੋਨ: 154 ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਸਮਿਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕੁੱਲ 2,863 ਜ਼ੋਨ ਹਨ। ਹਰ ਜ਼ੋਨ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ-ਇੱਕ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਦਾ ਚੋਣ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
- ਕੁੱਲ ਵੋਟਰ: ਗ੍ਰਾਮੀਣ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਇੱਕ ਕਰੋੜ 36 ਲੱਖ ਚਾਰ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਹੈ।
