General Instructions:
- All questions are compulsory.
- The question paper will have 4 sections: A, B, C, and D, comprising a total of 6 questions.
- Each unit of the syllabus must be adequately represented in the question paper.
Section A: Objective Type Questions
- Question No. 1: 20 Objective type questions worth 1 mark each.
- Includes Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and short answer type questions (one word to one sentence).
- Covers the entire syllabus.
- Total Marks: 20 (1 × 20)
Section B: Short Answer Type Questions (SA)
- Question No. 2: 9 sub-parts, each carrying 4 marks.
- Students need to attempt any 6 sub-parts.
- Answer to each question should be about 60 to 75 words.
- This section covers the entire syllabus.
- Total Marks: 24 (4 × 6)
Section C: Long Answer Type Questions (LA)
- This section comprises 3 questions of 8 marks each.
- 100% internal choice is provided for each question.
- Answer to each question should be about 10 to 20 sentences.
- This section covers the entire syllabus.
- Total Marks: 24 (8 × 3)
Section D: Source-based Questions (SOB)
- Question No. 6: This question comprises a comprehension paragraph from the syllabus, but not necessarily from the textbook.
- Marks distribution is as per the discretion of the paper setter or as shown in the Model Test Paper.
- Total Marks: 12
Project/Internal Assessment
- A. Project work (as per textbook/syllabus) and Viva: 5 + 3 = 8 Marks
- B. Class work & assessment / Periodic Test and Pre-Board: 5 + 5 = 10 Marks
- C. Book Bank or Research Study Material Related to Syllabus: 2 Marks
