Rainfall Warning for Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh
ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ:26/04/2024 16:23:1. ਬਰਨਾਲਾ, ਬਠਿੰਡਾ, ਫਾਜ਼ਿਲਕਾ , ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਮੁਕਤਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਫਰੀਦਕੋਟ, ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ, ਮੋਗਾ, ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ, ਜਲੰਧਰ, ਕਪੂਰਥਲਾ, ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ, ਵਿੱਚ ਗਰਜ/ਅਸਮਾਨੀ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹਵਾਵਾਂ (30-40 kmph) ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਹੈ
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rainfall warning for Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh. A Western Disturbance is likely to affect Northwest India from 26th April, 2024.
Here is a summary of the forecast:
Punjab: Light to moderate rain likely at few places on 26 & 27th and at isolated places on 28, 29th & 30th April.
Haryana and Chandigarh: Light to moderate rain likely at isolated places on 26th & 27th April.
Rain will be accompanied by:
- Thunderstorm/Lightning/Gusty wind (speed 40-50 kmph) at isolated places on 26th & 27th over Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.
Hailstorm is also likely to occur at isolated places on 26 & 27th April over Punjab and Haryana.
Advisory:
- In view of Rabi Crop (Wheat, Mustard etc) near Maturity and Harvesting
- Keep harvested crop in safe place.
- Avoid irrigation due to expected Rain/Thunderstorm activity
- Follow Detailed Agro advisories issued separately in this regard
- During a thunderstorm/hailstorm event, it is advisable to avoid going outside, suspend all farming operations, stay in a safe place, and don't take shelter under trees
