## Hailstorm Alert Issued for Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana on 13th & 14th April

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a hailstorm alert for Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana on 13th and 14th April, 2024.

* Himachal Pradesh
* Punjab
* Haryana
**Impact**
The hailstorm could cause damage to plantation, horticulture and standing crops. It may also injure people and cattle at open places. Strong winds associated with the hailstorm could also cause partial damage to vulnerable structures, minor damage to kutcha houses/walls and huts, and loose objects may fly.
**Precautions**
* People in the affected areas are advised to stay indoors during the hailstorm.
* Farmers are advised to take necessary precautions to protect their crops from the hailstorm.
