IMD Alert: Punjab — Thunderstorm, Lightning & Moderate Rain
IMD Chandigarh has issued a Nowcast warning for parts of Punjab. Thunderstorm with lightning and moderate rain is likely over areas including Ludhiana, Rupnagar, Moga, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, SBS Nagar (Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar) and Hoshiarpur in the next few hours. Wind speeds of about 30–40 km/h are also possible.

IMD Alert: ਪੰਜਾਬ — ਗੜਗੜਾਹਟ, ਬਿਜਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਮਿਆਨੀ ਮੀਂਹ
IMD Chandigarh ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਲਈ Nowcast ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਅਗਲੇ ਘੰਟਿਆਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ, ਰੂਪਨਗਰ, ਮੋਗਾ, ਜਲੰਧਰ, ਕਪੂਰਥਲਾ, ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਗਰ (Nawanshahr) ਅਤੇ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ ਸਮੇਤ ਕਈ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੜਗੜਾਹਟ (Thunderstorm), ਬਿਜਲੀ ਚਮਕਣ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਮਿਆਨੀ ਦਰਜੇ ਦਾ ਮੀਂਹ ਪੈਣ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਹੈ। ਹਵਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਵੀ 30–40 km/h ਤੱਕ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।

- ਬਾਹਰਲੇ ਸਮਾਨ (ਕੁਰਸੀਆਂ, ਬੋਰਡ ਆਦਿ) ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੋ।
- ਬਿਜਲੀ ਚਮਕਣ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੇ ਉਪਕਰਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ unplug ਕਰੋ।
