With a view to gearing up the District Education Officers, Deputy District Education Officers, Block Nodal Officers, State Resource Persons District Mentors (ICT) and District Mentors( Coordination) to prepare a meticulous plan to give a concrete shape to " Mission Shat Pratishat" at the ground level, two day 'Orientation Workshop' was organised under the aegis of State Council of Educational research and Training.
Following COVID-19 protocol, While the workshop of the Block Nodal Officers was organised at PSEB auditorium, Mohali, the workshop of other officials were organised at Regional Institute of Cooperative Management (RICM).
The Education Secretary, Krishan Kumar, while addressing the inaugural sessions of these workshops separately, exhorted them to exert their nerves to analyse the statistical data of the progress report of the each and every student in different subjects in house examinations so that a micro planning could be formulated for bringing in improvement in their performance in the ensuing annual examinations.
He also asked the officials of the education department to come forward with their innovative ideas and suggestions regarding enhancement of enrolment in the academic session 2021-22.
He asked them to ensure in depth monitoring while striking proper coordination with the school heads, teachers and students exhibiting acumen behavioural skills to motivate them to accomplish "Mission Shat Pratishat".
As the "Mission Shat Pratishat" has been launched by the Chief Minister, Captain Amarinder Singh, on November 7, last year, hence, the School Education Department has made a comprehensive plan to facilitate the teachers and the students by providing them learning material , Model Question Papers, practice sheets as per the reduced syllabus of different subjects of Board Classes. The dedicated teams comprising district and block mentors, block nodal officers and Zila Sikhiya Sudhar have been ensuring that the requisite teaching-learning material, model question papers and practice sheets should reach to the concerned teachers and students.
"The teachers have already done commendable job by providing digital education facility to the students during the closure of schools braving challenge posed by unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. Now they have accepted this challenge and taking extra classes both physically and virtually to achieve the goal" further said the Education Secretary, while asking them to ensure proper adherence to theCOVID-19 precautions in schools so that proper care of health of the students and teachers could be taken care of.
The teams have also been mobilising teachers and students to make the optimum utilisation of Punjab Educare App as well as the Smart Classrooms set up in the schools', said the Education Secretary while asking the district officials to have a brain storming session to evolve innovative planning by sharing good practices with each other to achieve the desired goal.
The education officials from different districts showed their power point presentation to share their micro planning as well as good practices during the workshop.
The Director SCERT,Jagtar Singh Kulrhia, Assistant Director(Training) SCERT, Salinder Singh, ASPD( Math), Nirmal Kaur,Sushil Bhardwaj, Chander Shekhar, Jasvir Singh Sekhon,Dr.Harpal Bajak( State Resouce Pesons) also interacted with the participants and gave valuable tips for accomplishing "Mission Shat Pratishat" .
