1. Read the passage and answer the questions that follow :
Plastic pollution has become a serious problem in today’s world. Every year, millions of plastic bags and bottles are thrown away, and much of this waste ends up in rivers and oceans. Marine animals like turtles, fish and seabirds often mistake plastic for food, which harms or even kills them. Plastic waste also pollutes soil and water, making the environment unhealthy for all living beings. To solve this issue, we need to reduce our use of single-use plastics. Carrying cloth bags, using steel or glass bottles, and recycling plastic items are simple steps that everyone can take. Schools and communities can also organize clean-up drives to spread awareness. By making small changes in our daily habits, we can protect the environment and ensure a cleaner, safer future for the next generation. Reducing plastic pollution is not only about saving nature but also about improving our own quality of life.
