ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਰਿਸ ਓਲੰਪਿਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਤੀਸਰਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਮੇਨਜ਼ 50 ਮੀਟਰ ਰਾਈਫਲ 3 ਪੋਜੀਸ਼ਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੂਟਰ ਸਵਪਨਿਲ ਕੁਸਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਕਾਂਸੀ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੁੱਲ 451.4 ਅੰਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੇ।
ਖਾਸ ਗੱਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਓਲੰਪਿਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨੋ ਤਮਗੇ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ ਇਵੈਂਟਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲੇ ਹਨ।
ਸਵਪਨਿਲ ਕੁਸਾਲੇ ਨੇ 2015 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਵੈਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ਐਸ਼ੀਅਨ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਵਿੱਚ 50 ਮੀਟਰ ਰਾਈਫਲ ਪ੍ਰੋਨ 3 ਇਵੈਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਹ 59ਵੇਂ ਨੇਸ਼ਨਲ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਗਨ ਨਾਰੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਚੇਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਰਗੇ ਸ਼ੂਟਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ।
ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਵਪਨਿਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਦੇਸ਼ ਲਈ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਫਾਈਨਲ ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕਾਫੀ ਨਰਵਸ ਸੀ, ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਧੜਕਨ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ।"

Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Make History at Paris Olympics
Shooter Manu Bhaker has made history at the Paris Olympics. She has become the first Indian woman to win two medals in the same Olympic Games. The Indian pair of Manu and Sarabjot defeated Korea 16-10 in the bronze medal match of the 10-meter pistol mixed team event.
Manika Batra secured her place in the pre-quarterfinals of the Paris Olympic Table Tennis Women's Singles by defeating France's Prithika Pavade in the round of 32 match played late Monday night. Manika has become the first Indian table tennis player to reach the pre-quarterfinals of the Olympics. Ranked 28th in the world, Manika defeated world No. 18 player Pavade 4-0 (11-9, 11-6, 11-9, 11-7) at South Paris Arena 4 in the French capital.
