Punjab, Department of Personnel(Finance
Personnel Branch-ll) issued instructions
regarding Family Planning allowance by its
letter no.3/3/2010-5FP2/215 Dated:21-05-
2010 and these instructions became
effective with effective from May 1st,2010.
Important points of these instructions
are as follows:-
Family Planning Allowance is
admissible only to government employees of Group
C and D.

Family Planning Allowance is admissible to an employee
equal to the amount of one increment
on revised basic pay subject to
a
minimum of Rs.210.
Family Planning Allowance is admissible to an employee
equal to two increments if he or she
restricts the number of children to two
girls only.
If any employee already drawing Family Planning Allowance
before 01-05-2010 then he shall
continue to be drawn subject to a
minimum of Rs.210 with effect from 01-
05-2010.
It has been clarified that if an employee
has adopted small family norms
between 01-01-2006 to 30-04-2010 then
he will also continue to draw Family Planning Allowance equal to the amount of one increment on
revised basic pay subject to a minimum
of Rs.210 with effect from 01-05-2010.
