School Education Department withdraws order on
Transfer Certificate after 92 years

Department Punjab has withdrawn on order issued 92
years ago for students to produce their 'Transfer
Certificate issued by previous school in case of
changing their school.
Interestingly schools in the state were following order
issued 92 years ago on 19.3.1929.
Now Secretary
School Education Krishan Kumar has issued new order
which says that previous order issued on 19.3.1929
shall be deemed to have withdrawn.

Now parents will have to given a self declaration form
that that their child had attended previous school and
has passed previous class for getting admission to new
school. Order issued now has made it clear that there is
no need to demand Transfer Certificate from
students/parents in this regard.
